A journal whose account and amount were separated by a single tab was
redrawn with the amount coloured as part of the account name. The editor now
splits on the same two-or-more whitespace rule the parser uses, so
highlighting and parsing agree.

Reconciling a statement that contained a line already cleared in the journal
could propose the same assertion twice. Re-importing an applied statement is
recognised and skipped again.

The balance strip stopped updating after switching a document window to a
different financial year.

Quick Look previews of
.ledger
bundles regenerate after a rename instead of
showing the previous name.

The first release. A Mac menu bar backup app built on restic.

Guided setup. First launch walks permissions, a repository, a starter
plan and the first backup, with sensible sources, exclusions, schedule and
retention already filled in.

Backup plans. Any number of them, each with its own repository, sources,
exclusions, schedule, retention and performance settings. The plan wizard
estimates the size of the first backup before it runs.

Storage. Local disk, SFTP, Amazon S3 and S3-compatible services,
Backblaze B2, Azure Blob Storage, and restic REST servers.

Schedules that survive quitting. Backups, integrity checks and pruning
run as launchd jobs whether or not the app is open, and a plan held back by
battery or network says so rather than going quiet.

Snapshot browser. Browse any snapshot’s file tree, Quick Look without
restoring, search every snapshot at once, compare two, and drag files
straight out into Finder.

Verification. Scheduled
restic check
at a depth you choose, scheduled
pruning, Test Restore, and a health probe every 15 minutes that reports one
status per repository with a specific remedy attached.

Shortcuts and Siri. Back Up Now, Back Up All Plans, Pause, Resume, and
Last Backup Status, all runnable without opening the app.

resticprofile compatibility. Import and export configs, with unmodelled
fields preserved and listed rather than dropped.

Prometheus. Opt-in per plan, with resticprofile-compatible metric names.

Requires macOS 26.

The first release. A native Mac, iPad and iPhone app for hledger-compatible
plain-text accounting.

The editor. Syntax highlighting for the journal format, accounts tinted
by type, a live balance strip beside every posting, autocomplete learned from
your own ledger, and inline diagnostics with one-click fixes. Strict and
Assisted modes, so the same app suits an hledger veteran and someone entering
their first transaction.

Automatic version history. Every ledger is a git repository from the
moment it is created. Actions become named commits, and
git log
reads as
plain English.

Receipts and statements, on device. Vision and Apple Foundation Models
read receipts and bank statements locally. Nothing is filed into the ledger
until you have looked at it.

Reconciliation. Match a statement against the journal side by side, then
write a real hledger balance assertion so the file proves it agrees.

Reports. Income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, net worth, registers,
spending heatmap, category treemap, cash-flow Sankey, investment performance.

Budgets, multi-currency, search, Shortcuts, and multi-year books.

Finder integration. A ledger is a document package with a live thumbnail
and a Quick Look preview.

Requires macOS 26, iPadOS 26 or iOS 26.
